International Activity

International activity of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping is focused on the international promotion and enhancement of the maritime and inland shipping education of the Russian Federation, its high status and efficiency, promotion of Russian scientific and educational activity at the international level, implementation of the knowledge, experience and most modern technologies of the international community.

International Relations Department is the main administrative division of Admiral Makarov SUMIS, executing international activity as well as coordinating this activity between other divisions of the University, foreign educational institutions and enterprises.

The results of the International activity of the University do not only depend on the management of this activity. International activity of various directions comes through all the kinds of the University activity and is actually the result of activity of a definite professor, executer or a student. The academic staff of the Research chairs, Faculties and Training Centers of the University contribute greatly to the development and enhancement of the University international cooperation.

There should be highlighted the special input of the following Centers to the international cooperation and promotion of the University international image:

- Office for Education of Foreign Students

- Makarov Training Center

- The Head Department for the Coordination of Scientific Educational Projects and Programs
